Nefertiti and Cleopatra, the most beautiful women in the past, knew and used beneficial properties of this plant.
In Ancient Greece aloe vera juice was called «the gift of Venus». In this article we will focus our attention on uses aloe vera for hair care. For cosmetic purposes it is better to use the plant that is more than 3 years old.

To activate the enzymes contained in the plant use the following method. Cut a leave which is closer to the roots, wash it with boiled water, wrapped in a napkin and cool in the refrigerator for 9 or 10 hours. You can also use the simplest way buying ready-made juice in the shop.

Aloe vera has an excellent effect on the skin, restoring its natural balance, greatly reinforcing the growth, nourishing the roots of the hair, preventing its loss, giving wound healing and bactericidal effect. Penetrating very deeply into the skin of the head it opens the pores and does lots of good for the improvement of the scalp. Also this plant promotes excellent cleansing the skin, due to the rapid penetration of a large number of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes in the scalp and removing all the harmful substances and toxins out of the skin.

Dandruff is a skin disease that should be treated. Aloe vera helps to cope with the disease. This plant has a chemical composition that is very similar to the structure of keratin of the skin. Keratin is a protein dominating in the structure of hair, it consists of amino acids, carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur in small quantities.

Here are a few tips to make your hair healthier.

Aloe vera hair masks

Aloe vera juice and jojoba oil. Mix the ingredients in equal quantities and warm them up a little, then spread it evenly on the hair, put on a bag on the head, wrap the head with a towel, wait for 30 minutes and rinse off with a shampoo. This is an excellent remedy against the split hair, as well as for the elasticity and shine.

Chop a leaf of the plant, take 1 tablespoon of honey, castor oil, cognac and one egg yolk and mix everything carefully. Put the mask on the scalp, wrap the head with the towel, wait for about 2 hours and then wash off with water. Make this mask once a week.

Mix 1 tablespoon of aloe juice, kefir, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of vitamin A and E, castor oil, 1 ampoule of vitamins B1, or B6. Apply this mask on the scalp, leaving the mixture for 40 minutes, use 1 time a week. This mixture is vitamin mask for the hair, improves its structure greatly. With regular use hair will grow faster, its loss is reducing.

Mix a tablespoon of honey with the same amount of aloe juice and a teaspoon of garlic juice. The mixture can be prepared in advance and keep it in the refrigerator.

Mix onion juice with a tablespoon of honey and aloe juice. Add the shampoo in the mixture and apply on the hair. Keep it for about an hour.

When you have over-dried and bleached chevelure just rub a teaspoon of the mixture of aloe juice, honey and castor oil and keep for 30-40 minutes before washing. The procedure should be repeated 1-2 times a week until the hair becomes elastic.

    I should try this mask, I always do hair masks by myself and don’t buy them as they contain chemicals that sometimes do more harm than good( I won’t add castor oil though cause it’s hard to wash out of the hair.

    You shouldn’t be afraid to buy masks only because they contain chemicals, just don’t apply them for too long and they won’t do any harm. By the way in the stores you can find many masks with aloe vera as well.

      Anna, you are right there are a lot of masks that contain aloe vera but they still also contain chemicals! Yes they probably won’t damage your hair, they are also supposed to make your hair look beautiful but if you can choose, to use a mask that you can make by yourself in 5 minutes and use a mask from any store that is not 100% natural, I think the choice is obvious.
